Britney Spears reveals about how she actually feels about marriage

Britney Spears has been in the public eye since she was a wee little one, so it’s safe to say that she’s pretty used to having society look at her life through a magnifying glass. However, that doesn’t mean she’s comfortable with it! And honestly, who would be?

In an interview with BBC Radio, the 34-year old pop star reveals the one bit of information she would tell her younger self — and it’s not about fame, fortune, or celebrity status.

The hosts of the radio show ask Britney, “Is there anything you wish you could’ve told yourself when you were younger?”

Spears pauses for a few beats and then simply says, “Well, never get married.”

Britney famously married childhood friend Jason Alexander at a chapel in Las Vegas in 2004. The pair were married for only 55 hours before the marriage was annulled. That same year, Spears was engaged to backup dancer Kevin Federline. The pair had a reality show, Britney & Kevin: Chaotic and were married in September of 2004. They are since divorced, but have two children together.
