Britney Spears performed a repertoire of chart toppers in Singapore on Friday (30 June) and had her fans yearning for the American pop sensation to hit them “baby one more time”.

For all the anticipation building up to Spears’ first full concert at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, fans felt that it wasn’t long enough (“like that only ah” was overheard) and many yelled for more after the encore.

The singer treated fans to hits like “…Baby One More Time” and “Stronger”, and newer ones like “Circus” (complete with a ring leader outfit), “Womanizer” and “Toxic” at “Britney Live in Singapore”, which was part of the singer’s world tour.

Decked with extravagant sets, the 90-minute gig by the 35-year-old Spears and her dancers had the audience cheering throughout.

While Spears appeared to lip-sync a fair bit, the fans didn’t seem to mind, with many of them in the seated areas standing and dancing to her songs.

The dance troupe provided side entertainment for the fans who were captivated by their routines and costume changes each time Spears was getting ready for her next act.

Pausing midway through the concert to belt out “Happy Birthday” to a troupe member, Spears acknowledged her dancers’ contribution by bringing them on stage at the end of her show.

Spears did not perform any of her ballads hits like “Lucky” or “Everytime” but they would have presumable been out of sync in the high-energy concert.
