Prince William and Kate have a new celebrity fan – Chrissy Teigen.

The new mum and model posted a funny message on Twitter, musing about how she can meet the royals.

"How do I make an appointment to hang out with Prince William and Kate Middleton is there a sign up sheet," Chrissy wrote to her 2.86m followers.

Her tweet, which was favourited more than 5,300 times, won the seal of approval from fans, who came up with some genius – and some ridiculous – options.

Many suggested arranging a playdate between her and John Legend's newborn daughter Luna, and Prince William and Kate's royal tots, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

"Playdates for your kids? I'm sure Charlotte needs some cool friends," wrote one fan. "That would be awesome... Luna and Princess Charlotte would so be besties," replied another.

"I'm picturing playdates for Luna and Charlotte while you and Kate sip wine at 10 AM," joked another.

Some 'practical', royal-related suggestions included having afternoon tea at The Orangery in Kensington Palace. "You may see them - I saw a baby Prince George w/nanny while I was there," revealed one follower.

"You can just cruise on up to Buckingham Palace and they'll buzz you in. Bring them some Taco Bell, they love Chalupas," joked one follower.

"Make John write a song about them and when it becomes a worldwide hit you'll get an invite," tweeted one fan, while another suggested: "Just chuck wads of John's cash (you keep yours girl) at one of their charities and you'll be invited to palace in no time."
