It’s understandable that brides don’t want to be upstaged on their wedding day, but one soon-to-be-wed has taken things a tad to far by banning her maid of honour from having a boob job so that she doesn’t steal her limelight. Wait, what?

The bride is said to have requested her maid-of-honour delay her breast enlargement until after the wedding as she wants to be the “hottest one in the bridal party.”

Taking to Reddit's Bridezillas forum, the unnamed guest explained that her friend's wedding was coming up in September and at the end of this month, she was due to undergo a breast enhancement surgery.

"I've dreamed of it for a long time and I finally got a chance and the money to do it," she wrote.

While she was thrilled about the planned procedure, the bride was concerned that her friend would “overshadow” the big day with her new boobs.

"Apparently my best friend isn't happy about it," she continued.

"Yesterday she asked me whether I would consider doing it after her wedding. I was surprised, because she knows it's perfect timing for me and there are many reasons behind it.

"I was curious why she asked that. She said she wants to be the hottest one in her wedding party and I may overshadow her with my new boobs.”

By way of a compromise the maid of honour offered to ensure she chose something that wasn’t revealing and said she would refrain from flashing her boobs at everyone.

“She looked hurt and heartbroken, said a cold goodbye and left,” the women continued.

The bridesmaid said the conversation had left her feeling unsure about what to do.

“I don’t want to and can’t change my date, but I feel upset about the whole situation,” she wrote.

She also started to question why other people had been left out of the bridal party.

“She didn’t include our other best friend who is hellishly hot in her wedding party and we both were shocked about it, but didn’t question it much.

“Instead, she picked her future sister-in-laws as bridesmaids, who are twins and quite chubby. They are very sweet ladies but the bride called them land whales behind their back once and I told her it’s not very nice.”

Most people were pretty outraged by the bride’s request and thought the maid of honour should go ahead with the surgery as planned.

“Yikes, sounds like come August she will be an absolute nut job of a bridezilla,” one user wrote.

“Keep your surgery. You, the surgeon, and I assume some time off work has/have all been arranged. Don't buy your dress if you haven't yet. Seems like you might get benched from the 'not hot' line up.”

“I do not understand the whole ‘bride needs to be the hottest/all eyes on the bride/don't detract from the bride thing’,” another commented.

“Of course the bride wants the day to be about her and her partner but having someone more attractive standing next to her or someone wearing a sparkly dress isn't going to make the day any less about her.

“Definitely go ahead with your surgery and stand up there on the day knowing that you look hot!”

“Keep your appointment and enjoy your new boobies!” another wrote.

“As long as you're not going out of your way to outshine the bride, I don't see an issue. What if you were naturally busty? Would you have been sidelined like your other friend?”

Bridezillas R Us

It isn’t the first time tales of demanding brides have hit the Internet.

Earlier this year a furious bride claimed her guests gifts weren’t expensive enough to follow up her lavish wedding celebrations.

Then there was the bride who wanted to change some of her bridesmaids’ eye colours so they didn’t ‘clash’ with the colour scheme.

Next up was the couple asked wedding guests to take a fortnight off work for their destination wedding and save almost £3,000 to attend the three-day-long nuptials.

Back in December, a bride asked her wedding party to dress in a weight-based dress code with women above 160 pounds and men above 200 pounds requested to wear black or camouflage.

And let’s not forget the bride who divided the Internet by asking her guests to answer maths questions during their wedding celebrations.
