2020 has finally broken the most disciplined and restrained among us.

On Friday night’s episode of “The 11th Hour,” host and MSNBC chief anchor Brian Williams had one hell of a reaction to Geraldo Rivera’s suggestion to name the COVID-19 vaccine after President Trump. Speaking over a rotating carousel of images of President Trump golfing and attending rallies without a mask, Williams said sarcastically, “It’s possible we just don’t give the president enough credit for his FDR-like devotion to tackling this virus. His laser-like focus, his daily devotion, the sympathy he’s forever expressing to the families of the quarter million dead. Even the way the president lectures us in that way to please wear a mask and stop the spread. And he’s always advocated injections. Geraldo may be on to something.”

Williams’ skewering is the latest in a line of post-election, no-holds-barred reactions from news anchors that are tired of swallowing their reactions to President Trump’s antics. In the immediate aftermath of the election, CNN anchor Anderson Cooper compared Donald Trump to “an obese turtle on his back flailing in the hot sun.” Later on
