Good news for those already struggling to stick to Dry January, BrewDog have opened an entirely alcohol-free bar, and for the month of January it is bottomless.

The BrewDog AF Bar, which opened in central London yesterday, is the world’s first alcohol free beer bar and will offer 15 taps of draft craft beer, all with zero booze.

Perfect for those who have ditched the alcohol this month, but don’t want to sup the soft drinks.

And if making dry January that little more appealing isn’t enough to entice you in, perhaps the free drinks might.

Yep, BrewDog is running ‘Drink All You Can Jan’ across all its bars, offering drinkers unlimited refills of BrewDog alcohol-free beers for the entire month of January.

Opening from 12pm (and closing up 11pm Sun-Thurs and 11:30pm Fri-Sat), the bar is also set to keep you entertained with Hip Hop Karaoke, Dabbers Bingo and Famous First Words all set to appear.

The 0% offerings include BrewDog’s Wake Up Call, a Coffee Stout and Hazy AF (an alcohol-free take on its existing New England IPA), alongside 15 taps of draft alcohol-free craft beer along with alcohol-free spirits and Designated Cider, the new alcohol-free Cider from Hawkes.

And if you’ve got the no-alcohol munchies, the bar will also be supplying a range of burgers, salads and Buffalo wings and a series of healthy specials. Brunch will also be on offer at weekends.

Though the AF bar is a pilot, the company hope to be able to roll out similar alcohol-free bars throughout the UK and Europe, which will be a good thing for those looking to reduce their alcohol intake and the 24% of beer drinkers choosing more low or no-alcohol options.

Commenting on the launch James Watt, Captain of BrewDog, said: “Drinkers opting for low or no alcohol are in danger of compromising on quality, taste and experience. And that’s just the beer – forget about places in which to enjoy it.

“We are going to change that. We exist to be a point of difference, and our first BrewDog AF Bar is just that. It is a beacon for anyone in London after an alcohol-free alternative. Alcohol-free does not need to be synonymous with taste-free.

“‘Drink All You Can Jan’ is our anti Dry January. Whether you have cut alcohol out or are cutting back we want to show that alcohol-free doesn’t mean compromising on quality or taste.”

The opening of the no-booze bar comes as the demand for and popularity of alcohol-free beer is on the rise. Market Research organisation Mintel have reported 28% of beer drinkers are cutting back on consumption because of health concerns and recent analysis by EeBria Trade has noted sales of low and no-alcohol beers have risen 381% since 2017.

The BrewDog AF Bar is located in the Bower Development at 211 Old Street, EC1V 9NR.
