Meghan Markle attended her first royal Christmas with Prince Harry and his family yesterday, dressed in a camel Sentaler coat, small brown Chloé bag, Stuart Weitzman boots, Birks diamond snowflake earrings, gloves, and a fancy fascinator-like brown hat by Philip Treacy. This ensemble, or at least the items for which Just Jared found prices, is worth $9,638.

The coat is $1,295; the bag is $1,550; the boots are $798; and the diamond earrings are $5,995.

The gloves and hat’s prices weren’t disclosed nor was the unseen ensemble she was wearing underneath the coat. But the hat was likely at least £275+ ($367+), as that's the standard price of hats on Treacy's e-shop.

Looking royal doesn't come cheap.

Note also that for this outing, Markle chose a bag with a small handle that she carried with both hands, taking a protocol note from Kate Middleton. (On her last outing, Markle may have broken royal protocol by carrying a bag with a bigger handle.) The Duchess generally holds clutches or small-handled bags so that she can hold them with both hands and avoid shaking hands during public outings.
