MC Kevin o Chris originally released the baile funk hit in March, amassing more than 80 million streams on Spotify.
Building on that success, the Brazilian musician recruited Drake for a bilingual remix of "Ela é do Tipo," which translates to "She Is the Type."
The new spin on the baile funk hit finds the Canadian superstar crooning about a dysfunctional romance, as he laments "First time I saw you, I wasn't thinking of you and I/ I was just thinking of I/ So now we end up in this place we both hate/ And I think it takes a sacrifice."
The remix of "Ela é do Tipo" arrived on the heels of Drake's first trip to Brazil, where he headlined the Rock in Rio festival last September.
As Rolling Stone noted, the OVO frontman is not the only artist looking at the South American country for inspiration in recent years.
Last year, 2 Chainz and French Montana released their own version of MC Kevinho's hit, "Olha a Explosão."
In 2017, Future and J. Balvin also hopped on a remix of MC Fioti's "Bum Bum Tam Tam," whose original visual became the first baile funk video to reach one billion views on YouTube.
In addition to venturing into the Brazilian musical style of baile funk, Drake recently teased a new business venture called More Life Growth Co. on Instagram.
Posts have popped up on social media showing his team handing out bouquets of flowers to passersby in the rapper's native Toronto.
Although details about the project are still scarce to this date, HighSnobiety reported that More Life Growth Co. is listed in the Canadian trademark database as selling items pertaining to "cannabis products and accessories, medical cannabis, THC and CBD."
Drake still has to confirm his potential involvement in the cannabis industry, joining the likes of fellow musicians Jay-Z, Snoop Dog and Wiz Khalifa.
