17 Dec – Jewellery brand MaBelle and kitchen appliance company Crown CGS have recently released a statement seemingly trying to distance themselves from actor Raymond Cho, whom they had a collaboration with in the past.
As reported on Mingpao, MaBelle posted a statement on its official Facebook page, saying that the actor has never been their spokesperson, and that his appearance at their company event was a one-time thing.
"We hereby declare that the artiste's view and position do not represent the company," they added.
Crown CGS also echoed similar words, stressing that Raymond's contract as their spokesperson has concluded a while ago and that his views have nothing to do with the company.
The statement simultaneously came after a photo circulated online, showing Raymond attending a Hong Kong police-related event alongside other stars like Mat Yeung, Lisa Ch'ng, Glen Lee, and Eileen Yeow. Supporters of the Hong Kong protests - known to be in conflict with the police - quickly took to social media to call for boycott against the celebrities involved, as well as all the brands related to them.
