Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston were both in attendance at Netflix’s Golden Globes after-party at The Beverly Hilton hotel Sunday night — cue the never-ending reunion rumors!

According to E! News, the pair did have a fleeting moment together at the post-ceremony soiree; though, they spent the majority of the party apart. Pitt was reportedly sitting at a booth with his Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood costar Leonardo DiCaprio, as well as Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro, while Aniston spent her time with fellow actress Sandra Bullock. Aniston was a presenter at the evening’s ceremony, while Pitt was nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture, which he won.

“Brad was in a great mood and very social with everybody — except Jennifer Aniston, who kept her distance at a booth a level up behind Brad,” a source told E!

Reportedly, the former couple didn’t want to bring excess attention to the fact they were attending the same event, so when they did acknowledge each other, they kept it brief.

“They said hello very quickly. Jen arrived after Brad. It was brief, but [they] were very cordial and friendly and seemed happy to be there,” claimed the source. “They approached each other once they saw each other inside and looked happy as they started to hug and say hello. Jen whispered something to Brad, but it wasn’t in an affectionate way. They both didn’t seem like they wanted to make a big deal about being together in the same room, although it was a private party. They were trying to be low-key. Brad left shortly after and didn’t stay at the party long.”

Earlier in the evening on the red carpet, Pitt joked with Entertainment Tonight about the nonstop speculation swirling around the news that he and his ex-wife would be in the same room for the awards show.

“The second most important reunion of her year? I understand,” joked the actor when asked if he would be running into Aniston. “That was a play on Friends. They were saying that.”

Pitt added, “I’ll run into Jen, she’s a good friend.”
