Bohemian Rhapsody And Mayhem: New Suicide Squad Trailer Is Insane

Worst. Heroes. Ever.

If you weren’t already on board with ‘Suicide Squad’, DC’s forthcoming bad-guy bonanza, then this latest trailer should seal the deal.

Set to the strains of Queen’s masterpiece 'Bohemian Rhapsody’, director David Ayer appears to have created an operatic ode to mayhem.

Bullet shells rain down, punches get thrown, helicopter gun ships unleash hell and, as Joel Kinnaman’s field commander Rick Flag explains 'You’re going somewhere very bad to do something that will get you killed’.

So that’s settled, then.

Pleasingly, thus far the ambitious, multi-villain comic book movie is keeping its cards close to its chest, plot-wise.

All that we really know is that a cadre of menaces to society are brought together in a 'dirty dozen’ style bid for immunity from their criminal wrongdoings, including Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Deadshot (Will Smith), Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), El Diablo (Jay Hernandez), Enchantress (Cara Delevingne), Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney), Slipknot (Adam Beach), and Katana (Karen Fukuhara) – all of whom are have been locked up in Belle Reve, a dark, off-the-grid prison.

Jared Leto’s hotly-anticipated rendition of the Joker is in amongst it too, but still having his screen time kept to a minimum in these sneak peeks.

In short, this is looking increasingly like it could trump DC’s other big offering, 'Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice’, but we’ll have to wait and see.

Plus they make the Avengers look like school prefects.

It’s due out on August 5 across the UK.
