Bobby Au Yeung to star in new drama, "My Ages Apart"

23 Feb - Hong Kong actor Bobby Au Yeung is set to star in the upcoming TVB 50th anniversary drama, "My Ages Apart".

As reported on Mingpao, the upcoming 50-episode drama was announced as the second 50th anniversary drama to begin filming soon, aside from Dicky Cheung's comeback project, "The Handsome Marshall".

Bobby will be playing the role of a banker named Song Chung Kei (a play on the name of South Korean actor Song Joong-ki), who accidentally switches souls with another man, Seung (James Ng).

The actor, who appeared at the press conference to announce the project recently, couldn't help but laugh at the name choice that was given to his character.

"I hope [Song Joong-ki's] fans will not kill me. I am a comedian. It's a disgrace to the real Song Joong-ki," he joked.

The drama will also mark the first collaboration between Bobby and actress Kristal Tin, who will play his wife.

"I am just so happy and honoured to be given a chance to work with Bobby. I have watched Bobby's drama since I was a kid. He's my idol," said the actress.

The upcoming drama also boasts other star-studded cast members, including Moses Chan, Louis Cheung, Louisa Mak, Ali Lee, Maggie Shiu, Paisley Wu, Katy Kung, Elena Kong, and Anjaylia Chan.
