Bob Lam makes ATV return after 18 years
24 Nov – Bob Lam (Lam Chi Po) recently made an appearance at the ATV's "Asia Music Show", his first return to the company 18 years after his departure.
As reported on Mingpao, the TV personality, who spoke to the media at the event, shared that he sang four songs including Jacky Cheung's "How Can I Forget You" and "In Love With You" - the latter performed with Karene Mak.
"I left ATV in 2002 as a TV presenter. I never thought that I would return and perform as a singer," he enthused.
Having just experienced the lost of his wife Shirley Tung, who passed away last month, Bob stated that he hopes to use his work to distract him.
"Don't worry. I will make sure not to think of too many memories of the past during my performance. I deliberately choose songs that remind me of her. For example, I can never sing [Danny Chan's] "Deeply in Love With You" without thinking about her. Other songs are fine," he said.
As for his family's situation a month after Shirley's passing, Bob said that his children are slowly regaining their normal lives.
"I hope to bring my children to a theme park during the Christmas season. I hope that I can make them happy," he added.
Bob's wife Shirley, who had been diagnosed with leiomyosarcoma last year, passed away in October this year.
