Bob Lam assures family is okay in Germany
26 Jul - Hong Kong actor Bob Lam, who initially expressed his concern for his family in Munich, Germany, has assured fans that they are okay, as reported on Mingpao News.
Germany is reeling from a series of violent attacks recently. Ten people were killed with dozens more injured following an axe attack by an Afghan refugee, a mass shooting by a German-born Iranian teenager, a machete attack by a Syrian, and the most recent – a suicide bombing by another Syrian.
Bob, whose family has been travelling around the country without him, stated that he was extremely worried, especially after the Hong Kong Security Bureau issued a yellow outbound travel alert to Germany.
However, the actor revealed recently that his family is doing fine, saying, "Thank you everyone for your concern. I've already contacted them, and they are safe in Germany. But [...] I really hope they can quickly complete their trip and return home."
In an interview later on, Bob stated that he contacted his wife after the mass shooting, and found oout that his wife and children were actually on the different part of the country.
When asked if he would continue to let his family go on a trip after what had happened, Bob stated that after what has been happening in Europe, they will avoid doing so for the time being.
