Finally!

The missing-in-action Battlestar Galactica: Human vs. Cylon roller coaster at Universal Studios Singapore is to set re-open in early 2015, said Resorts World Sentosa on Friday.

RWS said the ride will feature all-new two-seater vehicles that are designed to give “every rider a more intimate and personal ride experience and will enhance the feeling of speed and thrill the ride already offers”.

Every rider also has their own window seat, said senior vice president of attractions, John Hallenbeck. USS will announce the exact launch date soon.

The troubled sci-fi ride, one of the main attractions of Universal Studios Singapore, was forced to close a week after its first launch in 2010 before re-opening in February 2011.

It was forced to close again in July 2013. At the time, USS said it had to be closed for an “attraction review”.

The roller coaster is themed after the hit TV series produced by Universal Cable productions and is currently in the midst of “routine” and “extensive testing”.
