Good news, Mandopop fans!

Asia's reigning R&B king Jay Chou will be among the headlining acts for this year's Formula 1 SingTel Singapore Grand Prix.

The 33-year-old pop/movie star will be performing on Friday, 21 September at the Marina Bay Street Circuit.

It is the first time a Chinese act will be gracing the main stage in the Singapore F1 GP's five-year history and his inclusion is set to draw a whole new Mandopop audience from across the region to Singapore's annual F1 extravaganza.

Apart from selling over 30 million albums worldwide, Chou has also tried his hand at acting and recently broke into Hollywood with action flick "The Green Hornet".  He has also acted in Mandarin period blockbusters such as "Secret" and "Curse of the Golden Flower".

Entry to the concert at the Padang stage in Zone 4 is free with any three-day 2012 Formula 1 SingTel Grand Prix ticket.

While Chou will headline Friday's concert, Grammy-award winner Maroon 5 will take centrestage on Saturday.
