Welcome 2013 at the beach – and with a party. International acts like Shy, K-Sly, Babybomb, Krumbs and VJ Mie will get things going from dusk till dawn, while you take a dip at the foam pool, dance in the sand, and watch the pyrotechnics display at midnight. 31 Dec, 6pm. Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2013
Thanks to the Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay and the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA), revelers will enjoy an impressive eight-minute-long fireworks show that’ll highlight Singapore’s pretty skyline. There will be concerts and film screenings too. 31 Dec, before midnight. Esplanade Waterfront and Marina Bay Waterfront Promenade. Free admission.

Clarke Quay’s Around the World New Year’s Eve Countdown
Expect lots of good food, music and lights. Celebrities Chua Enlai and Cheryl Miles will be hosting, and local band Goodfellas, Killer Queen from Australia, and DJ Shigeki from Japan will be performing. 31 Dec, 10pm. Central Fountain Square. Free admission.

New Year’s Eve Countdown at ACM
The Asian Civilisations Museum will be holding a contemporary Thai-themed party that includes performances by Club Neverland resident artists, bands and DJs. Catch a mudra dance and a muay thai exhibition match as well. 31 Dec, 8pm. Free admission.

Smash Down
It’s bound to be a cool night at *SCAPE, as they’ll be having ice sculptures and an ice slide at their Ice Playground. Host Sheikh Haikal, Stellastory, The Summer State, Cashew Chemist, Kimberly Chia, and the cast of Ah Boys to Men will also be there to entertain you. 31 Dec, 8pm. Tickets from $20.
