"Dreams & Reality" and History & Living Galleries
It's your last chance to see over 140 salon, realist, impressionists and post-impressionists paintings, photographs and drawings from the Musée d'Orsay, Paris. The exhibition — which covers works from 1848 to 1914 — includes Vincent Van Gogh's "Starry Night", Alexandre Cabanel's "The Birth of Venus" and Paul Cezanne's "The Card Players". National Museum of Singapore. Entry fee, $11.

Mika Singh Live In Singapore
Enjoy an evening of Punjabi rap with the Bollywood singing sensation. Mika — who used to be known as Amrik Singh — released his debut album at the age of 21, and has since gone on to produce music for Bollywood movies. He was also a judge, team captain and mentor on STAR Plus's reality show "Music Ka Maha Muqqabla". University Cultural Centre Hall, NUS. 4 Feb, 7:30pm. Tickets start at $38.

Introduction to "Swan Lake"
Thanks to the efforts of the Singapore Dance Theatre and the Esplanade, fans can get a crash course on one of the world's most famous ballet performances, "Swan Lake". The hour-long session lets you learn more about the Tchaikovsky masterpiece with dance excerpts and a narration, host interaction, and a sneak peek into the pas de deux dances. Esplanade Concert Hall. 5 Feb, 4pm.Tickets at $10 each.

Chingay Parade 2012
Witness a dazzling display of culturally rich performances at this year's parade, which will take place over a 360-metre long waterway. The China Red Star Dance Troupe and the Reda Folkloric Troupe from Egypt — who'll enthrall you with the ancient El Mawlawia ritual — are just some of the people to watch out for. Other highlights include multi-coloured floats and an LED hip hop dragon dance to usher in the Year of the Dragon. F1 pit. 3 & 4 Feb, 8:30pm. Tickets from $28.

In::music — Serene Koong
Part of the Huayi-Chinese Festival of Arts 2012, local songstress Serene Koong will sing and perform songs on the piano from her debut album "55:38:7". You'll also hear some of her exciting, upcoming tracks. Esplanade Concert Hall. 5 Feb, 7:30pm. Tickets at $25 each.
