"Bleeding Steel" denies replacing Eddie Peng with Show Luo

25 Aug - Producers of Jackie Chan's latest movie, "Bleeding Steel", has denied rumours that Taiwanese actor Eddie Peng was removed from Jackie Chan's new movie after offending the superstar.

As reported on Sina News, sources previously claimed that Jackie originally wanted Eddie to join him in the upcoming movie. However, the action star was allegedly frustrated with the Taiwanese actor after he supposedly caused filming delay due to his hectic schedule.

In the end, the role was given to actor Show Luo instead.

Meanwhile, according to another rumour, Jackie was unhappy that Eddie had been praising his rival, Jet Li, while the rising star was filming "Rise of the Legend", which is about the icon Wong Fei Hung – a character synonymous with Jet in the past.

However, according to a representative from "Bleeding Steel" production, they had never offered the role to Eddie.

"The movie has been in preparation for over two years and the script has been adjusted several times. But Show Luo has always been the first choice for the finalised version," said the rep.
