Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani's New Duet "Happy Anywhere" is Their Most Romantic Song Yet
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani officially debuted their new duet, "Happy Anywhere," on Friday, July 24.
The couple's last duet together, "Nobody But You", hit No. 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart in April.
It's love in the time of coronavirus, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani-style!
The music power couple debuted their brand-new song, “Happy Anywhere”, on the Today show on Friday when they performed for the 2020 Citi Music Series. Blake and Gwen could barely take their eyes off of each other as they sang a sweet acoustic version of the song, with the country star on guitar.
Blake led the song with Gwen chiming in on the romantic chorus:
I'm running wide open / I was born with my feet in motion / But since I met you, I swear / I could be happy anywhere / Any map dot location / You're always my destination / You're the only thing that I'm chained to / I could be happy anywhere / I could be happy anywhere with you.
"I learned a long time ago that if something's working for you, you just keep going with it. So since 'Nobody But You' did so well for us earlier this year, Gwen and I have another song that we're releasing together, " Blake said as he introduced the song.
On Monday, Blake announced that he and Gwen would be releasing a new "loving, feel-good tune" following the success of their first smash hit single, "Nobody but You." Their new duet, "Happy Anywhere," is the couple's reflection on quarantining with the one you love.
"Real excited to share this one with y’all and honored I was able to talk @gwenstefani into doing another song with me!" Blake wrote in an Instagram post announcing the song. "#HappyAnywhere out THIS FRIDAY!"

The Today show gave a sneak peek of the music video on Monday, which Gwen later reposted on her Instagram.

The video puts Blake and Gwen's irresistible chemistry on display as they serenade each other everywhere from the couch to the cornfield.
"Happy Anywhere" follows Blake and Gwen's January 2020 collaboration, "Nobody But You", which was a huge hit with fans and reached No. 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart in April.
"Even though Gwen and I just had a single out we decided that, under the circumstances, this year… man, there's never been a better time for ‘Happy Anywhere,’” Blake said in a statement, according to Today.
He added that the song was inspired by how he and Gwen have only grown closer while they've been quarantining together during the coronavirus pandemic.
“We’ve all been in quarantine and lockdown, and hopefully we’ve been doing that with somebody that we really love and enjoy being around,” he said. "That’s what happened with Gwen and me this summer — and this entire year."
