Blake Lively showed off her cast after an on-set injury

We admit it — even though we know she’s a total pro, we got a little worried after hearing about Blake Lively’s on-set injury back in December. While on set for The Rhythm Section, Lively hurt her hand in the midst of filming an action scene, causing filming to temporarily suspend. But here’s the good news — she knows how to rock a cast.

Lively, who’s raising daughters Ines and James with husband Ryan Reynolds, admitted on Instagram that she was getting ready for a (much deserved) “mom’s night out.” And according to Entertainment Tonight, that night out consisted of a party to celebrate the collaboration between pop artist Ashley Longshore and Bergdorf Goodman.

In fact, one of Lively’s key accessories was created by Longshore, who — aside from painting — sells items like beaded bags and gem rugs on her website. She decided to bring a bag, adorably shaped like a tube of lipstick, to celebrate.

Longshore was quick to notice the fact that Lively included this detail within her ensemble. Posting her own photo of Lively on Instagram, she enthusiastically thanked the actress while stating that “And you are wearing my first @judithleiberny BAG collaboration,” making sure to add “Thank YOU for loving all things sparkly!!!”

But while we love everything about that photo, we also love the fact that Lively isn’t hiding her hand cast in the set of pre-party pictures she decided to post.

We’re glad that Lively got a chance to attend, as it’s pretty obvious that she’s a big fan of Longshore.

To be called “one of the most fabulous, fun, empowered, she-heroes” is a big compliment. We hope these two get more chances to hang out in the future and possibly collaborate on something creative.
