Blake Lively may be a beloved and super fashionable movie star now, but who can forget the early roles that catapulted her to superstardom? Blake starred as Bridget Vreeland in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants in 2005 (a film that, to this day, still gives us serious BFF goals), and shortly after that, landed her most iconic role to date in The CW’s Gossip Girl. Now, Blake is speaking out about the chances of a Gossip Girl reunion, and I have absolutely zero chill about that possible reboot. Mild spoilers for Gossip Girl follow, so fair warning in case you’re in the midst of binge-watching the show for the first time.

Gossip Girl aired from 2007 to 2012, but still has a huge place in our hearts. I seriously can’t believe that the show ended over four years ago! It seems like just yesterday that we were watching Leighton Meester and Blake Lively play the most notorious on-and-off-best friends ever, our forever fashion icons Blair Waldorf and Serena van der Woodsen.

The role of Serena won Blake several Teen Choice Awards and was a huge part of her life for five years, so it makes sense that Blake would have a soft spot for the show that we’re all still so attached to. E! News correspondent Marc Malkin asked Blake, during an interview to promote Blake’s new film The Shallows, whether she’d be interested in a reunion with her former fellow Upper East Side inhabitants. Blake definitely seemed like she’d be down.

“I don’t know, it would be fun,” Blake said. “We had such a great time doing that that I think we all would really enjoy that.”

Excuse me while I flip out and flail like a dork over the possibility of my forever OTP Chuck Bass and Blair Waldorf in the same room together again.

It seriously warms my heart that the cast got along so well. There’s nothing better than hearing that the actors on a show you loved so much enjoyed their roles and working together just as much. Gossip Girl was such a fun, iconic show, and one of the first MAJOR hits native to The CW after its switch over from The WB.

By the time the series ended, Chuck and Blair had married and had a child, while Serena had married her own one true love, Dan Humphrey (aka, Blake’s IRL long-time former boyfriend, Penn Badgley), who was revealed to be the titular Gossip Girl (well, Gossip Dude, technically).

When E! asked Blake what she thought Serena was up to today, Blake guessed that her fashionable former character was “probably on vacation in Europe doing something fabulous,” and joked that, Serena “hasn’t been in touch.” LOL.

While the show’s executive producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage told E! while at ATX Festival back in June that they hadn’t put much thought into rebooting the CW series, but that definitely doesn’t rule it out as a possibility down the road, right? Plus, the Winter Soldier himself, Sebastian Stan (aka, Gossip Girl baddie Carter Baizen), was 100% down to reprise his role in a GG reboot when E! asked and claimed that Jessica Szohr (aka, Vanessa Abrams) and Chace Crawford (Nate Archibald) would also be into the idea of a reunion.

It sounds like nearly every major character is up for it, so let’s make it happen, people! I, for one, totally need to see what the illustrious group of Upper East Side teens is up to, now in their mid-twenties as parents. That would be amazing.
