If you ever wanted to channel your inner Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and The City - and let’s face it, who hasn’t? - then you’ll know there’s one thing you need to complete the look: a pair of Manolo Blahniks.

The cult designer footwear brand is a firm favourite of a whole host of celebrities from Vogue’s US editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour and Meghan Markle to our very own Kate Moss.

Nicole Kidman wore them to the Premier of Big Little Lies back in May 2019 with a sequin suit, Victoria Beckham is known to love her pairs from the brand while Kim Kardashian wears here pair(s) out and about on a daily basis (she must have feet of steel).

However, with a price tag of around £800 and upwards it’s little wonder that we hardly ever see them except for on the perfectly-manicured feet of the rich and famous.

Don’t worry though, your glamorous fashionista dreams are not over yet, because we’ve found an almost identical pair of shoes on the high street for £40.

The Lotus Alyssa Womens Black Heeled Court Shoes from bargain footwear store ShoeZone are crafted in the same point-toe shape and feature similar crystal leaf embellishments across the top.

So, without further ado, here’s the original:

Buy it: Manolo Blahnik Nadira satin courts | £795 from Selfridges

And here are the £39.99 version we found:

Pretty similar, right? The only difference is they’re suedette, not satin, but whose focusing on that?

The only question now is, what will we do with the £755 we’ve spared ourselves? We could buy 53 bumper boxes of 43 Creme Eggs (that’s 2,279 chocolate eggs, by the way).
