If you’re struggling to pick the perfect gift for your pregnant friend, look no further.

Who needs some nice bubble bath, a relaxing candle or fresh cotton pyjamas when they can have a “birthie stick”?

The “birthie stick” a play on the tourist favourite, the selfie stick, is a contraption designed to capture every moment of your birth, allowing you to live stream your labour to your mates so they don’t get FOMO.

Thankfully, there’s a catch. It’s just a prank gift box that allows you to put their real present inside.

You still get to enjoy the horrified face of your friend as she opens it, though. It’s a win-win.

Prank Pack “Birthie Stick” | £6.19

“Simply put your real present inside the joke box and try to keep a straight face as you watch your friends and loved ones attempt to remain gracious while thanking you for the Prank Pack.” The listing of the product advises.

“Then watch them explode with laughter when they discover their actual stuff inside and realise they have been pranked.”

The packaging says “bring your delivery to life” on the front of it, with a picture of a woman with the birthie stick strapped to each thigh.

The back of the box reveals that the stick comes in three gender colour mounts and there’s even mention of a fake app to download called The HouseCall that live streams the birth along with the voice of an obstetrician who talks your family through the whole thing.

“It’s worth the laughs.” One five-star review concluded and we’d have to agree.
