Billy Crawford denies rivalry with Ogie Alcasid

11 Aug - Billy Crawford dismissed rumours of a rivalry between him and singer Ogie Alcasid following ABS-CBN's decision to pick him to host the new show, "Little Big Shots".

As reported on PEP, previously, it was rumoured that Alcasid was unhappy that Crawford was chosen to host the Philippine version of the Steve Harvey show, especially since the network had called him for the mock shoot.

When asked about it recently, Crawford said that there is no animosity between them and that the first person who texted him after he was announced was Alcasid himself.

"He told me, 'Bro, I am happy for you. I am so proud of you. I will always be right here behind you anytime you need me'," said Crawford.

In a previous interview, Alcasid admitted to have been considered to host the show, and is thankful to even be considered. However, he added that wife Regine Velasquez was disappointed to hear that he didn't get the job since she was a big fan of the American show.

"I'm so happy that it went to Billy. I'm very proud of him. Obviously he deserves it more than I do," he said.
