SINGAPORE — Pop superstar Billie Eilish on Thursday (22 September) released videos of two new songs performed at the Cloud Forest in Gardens by the Bay.

The videos of “TV” and “The 30th”, which were posted on YouTube, were filmed while Eilish was in Singapore last month, when the 20-year-old American singer-songwriter performed at the National Stadium as part of her “Happier Than Ever” world tour.

Directed by Singaporean director Choānn, the videos were launched in partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) as part of STB’s SingapoReimagine campaign.

It was not the first time that Eilish had performed at Gardens by the Bay. In 2018, she performed at the popular tourist attraction during the St. Jerome's Laneway Festival.

In an STB media release, Eilish said Singapore was one of the first places she had ever been on tour and “absolutely fell in love with it” even though she was here for only a day.

“The Cloud Forest is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen in my life. These two songs really are just very important to me in a lot of ways. I feel really connected to them and very personally protective over them,” Eilish said.

In the two videos, Eilish sang while her brother and music collaborator Finneas played an acoustic guitar against the backdrop of the Cloud Forest. The songs were recently performed by Eilish for the first time during her tour before their official release.

STB has also recently partnered with singer-songwriter Charlie Puth in a video to promote Singapore as part of the same campaign. Ahead of the video’s release next month, STB posted a preview on Instagram showing Puth in several locations such as Long Bar at Raffles Hotel, The Projector and the Joo Chiat district.
