ICYMI, Betty White will turn 96 on January 17th. She never fails to give us #lifegoals. Now, we just heard the most amazing fact about the actress extraordinaire. According to Vulture, Betty White thanks vodka and hot dogs for keeping her young. Yup, she’s ~definitely~ our kind of girl!

Vulture got the scoop from Parade, who interviewed Betty White about her upcoming birthday and so much more. For instance, do you know who White’s Hollywood crush is? Robert Redford! TBH, we don’t blame her. And apparently, she’s had this crush for a ~long~ time. Redford is her dream birthday present every year, reported Parade. “But it never works,” White said. “I try every year.” LOL. And, believe it or not, the two actors have never met IRL either. Let’s make this happen, Redford.

Kidding aside, lots of us have been Betty White fans since we were born. If you think about it, she’s been around more than three times longer than many of us have. We may have fallen in love with White when she played Rose on The Golden Girls, but we still love seeing her thriving in her golden years as a real-life golden girl. She’s constantly keeping us on our toes and making us laugh.

Who knew vodka and hot dogs were the secrets to a long life?

White told Parade that she loves vodka and hot dogs, “probably in that order.”

Parade also asked White for more advice on living a happy and healthy life.

“Enjoy life,” White told Parade. “Accentuate the positive, not the negative. It sounds so trite, but a lot of people will pick out something to complain about, rather than say, ‘Hey, that was great!’ It’s not hard to find great stuff if you look.”

We couldn’t agree more.

In any case, we’re wishing Betty White a happy early birthday and thanking her for all of her important life advice.

We also hope her birthday wish comes true this year.

A girl can hope, right?!
