Best dressed celebrities: April's top A-list fashion moments
We started the month on a low with the news that Channing Tatum and his wife of eight years, Jenna Dewan Tatum, had ended their marriage.
However, two other celebrity couples quickly put the smile back on our face. Blake Lively and husband Ryan Reynolds, and Emily Blunt and husband John Krasinski, proved that romance is alive as the foursome took to the red carpet at the NYC premiere of ‘A Quiet Place’ at the start of the month. Blake dressed in a form-fitting Chanel dress for the event, while Emily worked a full-skirted Oscar de la Renta gown.
Elsewhere, Dan Stevens (of ‘Downton Abbey’ fame) made a style statement in a hot pink suit and printed DMs. A controversial choice, but one that we applaud. The same week, a wealth of famous faces cropped up at a Cartier event in LA. Lily Collins, model Winnie Harlow, Frieda Pinto and Jake Gyllenhaal were among the celebrities who took to the red carpet.
The second week of the month brought us great fashion from the likes of Naomie Harris, promoting her new flick ‘Rampage’ globally, and up-and-coming star Chloe Grace Moretz. The latter wowed in a dress by current ‘it’ label Vampire’s Wife at the GLAAD media awards.
The premiere of Amy Schumer’s new film, ‘I Feel Pretty’, rustled up a number of great looks in the third week of the month. Close friends Michelle Williams and Busy Philipps attended; the former in Louis Vuitton and the latter in Christian Siriano.
Emily Ratajkowski also attended, wearing a cutaway column dress by Michael Kors.
As for the final week of April, Gigi Hadid stole the show in gold Versace for her 23rd birthday, while the ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ cast were out in full for the premiere.
To round the month off, the 2018 TIME 100 Gala saw some breathtaking looks, namely Jennifer Lopez who stunned in Zuhair Murad.
