The best catwalk hair trends from New York Fashion Week

New York Fashion Week had plenty to say when it came to seasonal hair trends for Spring/Summer 2020.

Colorful hair
Big, beautiful, brightly-colored hair was the key element of the beauty look at Jeremy Scott, where the models wore wigs in eye-catching shades of yellow, pink and blue. At Chromat, one of the models sported an eye-catching half-green style, and at Prabal Gurung the color came from elaborate hair accessories and headwear.

There were wild waves at Rag & Bone, where the free-spirited look was teamed with glowing skin and minimal makeup, and at Oscar de la Renta, where the look was bouncy and slightly frizzy. Things took on a '70s edge at Cynthia Rowley, where the look was voluminous and carefree, and at Zimmermann, which channelled a boho vibe.

Wet-look hair
The wet look continues to trend hard on the catwalks: this season in New York, it could be seen at Carolina Herrera, where it was teamed with a smokey eye and minimalist makeup, and at Proenza Schouler, where the models had their hair scraped back into clean updos.
