Bessie Chan has no qualms in making a TV comeback

15 Jul – Former actress Bessie Chan recently admitted that she has no qualms making her acting comeback if a good offer would come her way.

As reported on Mingpao, the singer-actress, who made her appearance at the TVB show, "Cantopop at 50" recently, stated that that nobody had actually asked her to come back to showbiz, which is why she hasn't done so for the past several years.

"If there is a good character that I can play, I would love to give it a try. Sometimes, when I am watching dramas on television, I would think of how I would approach the roles," she said.

As to what she has been doing for the past 18 years since she left showbiz, Bessie stated that she has been running a catering business, though admitted that the pandemic has quite affected it.

On the other hand, when asked about her current relationship status, the 51-year-old Bessie stated that she is still single.

"I have already passed the stage of wanting to get married. It's not bad staying single," she added.

Bessie's last drama with TVB was the 1997 Mui Siu Ching series, "Show Time Blues".
