Ben Yuen happy to be nominated at Asian Film Awards

11 Sep – After being snubbed by the Hong Kong Film Awards, Ben Yuen is elated to receive a nomination at the 14th Asian Film Awards for his role in the LGBT movie, "Suk Suk" (also known as "Twilight's Kiss").

As reported on Mingpao, the actor who was contacted about his nomination in the Best Supporting Actor category, stated that he is thankful to the awards committee for giving him the opportunity to participate in an international festival and to watch more films from other Asian countries.

"Because of the pandemic, there will be no awards ceremony this year. I hope that the pandemic will subside soon, so that movie productions and daily lives can return to normal as soon as possible. Congratulations to all nominated filmmakers. You have all contributed a lot to the art of filmmaking," he said.

On the other hand, his co-star Tai Bo - who had already won at the Hong Kong Film Awards, Hong Kong Film Critics Society Awards, and the HK Directors' Guild for his performance in the movie - will be competing in the Best Actor category.

The winners will be announced on 16 October via the AFA official YouTube channel.
