It’s official - Deathstroke is heading to the big screen.

‘Batman V Superman’ and ‘Justice League’ star Ben Affleck has surprised DC fans by revealing a rather awesome behind-the-scenes video of Deathstroke in his full costume. Rumoured to be part of the DC Cinematic Universe for quite some time, Deathstroke has managed to stay out of the spot light.

That is, until now.

Appearing on Twitter, 44-year-old Ben Affleck unveiled the badass video with no comment.

Not that it needs one - it really speaks for itself.

The brief video lasts a mere 27 seconds, but features an actor in the full Deathstroke costume, swaggering towards the camera, looking full metal badass. And I have to say - the costume is looking pretty great.

Deathstroke first appeared in the comic books in The New Teen Titans #2 back in 1980. Although he’s now best known as enemy and antagonist to numerous DC heroes… and that includes both Batman and the Green Arrow.

And this won’t be the first time he’s appeared on screen.

Deathstroke recently appeared on the hit TV show ‘Arrow’ with Manu Bennett behind the mask. In fact, he was a series regular until 2015… and often proved to be a fan favourite.

But will the big screen Deathstroke be any better?

At the moment, very little is known about how Deathstroke will fit into DC’s big screen efforts… except that it’s now confirmed that he will. Will he appear in the upcoming ‘Justice League’ movie? Will he play a part in Batman’s solo film?

For now, we’ll have to wait and see.

And the big question remains - who will play him?
