Ben Affleck confirms Batman solo movie title

It looks as though Ben Affleck’s ‘Batman’ movie just got a title.

During an interview with Associated Press, the 44-year-old ‘Batman V Superman’ star revealed the title of his upcoming solo movie… and it’s a name we’ve heard before.

“The movie I think is going to be called ‘The Batman’,” he confirmed. “At least that’s what we’re going with right now. I might change it… That’s about all I got right now.”

Of course, ‘The Batman’ has long been rumoured to be the title of Affleck’s solo Batman movie… and with an overwhelmingly positive fan response, it’s nice to see that working title official acknowledged.

It’s rumoured that ‘The Batman’ is a statement from the studio and filmmakers - that this is the definitive Batman movie, entirely separate from those which have come before. But that remains up for debate.

Will the title change by the time ‘The Batman’ appears in cinemas?

It’s certainly a possibility. But for now, ‘The Batman’ is here to stay.

Of course, it’s not just the title we’re all eager to find out. We still have no idea what ‘The Batman’ is going to be about… and with the rumoured appearance of Deathstroke now said to be attached to the ‘Justice League’ movie, we may know a lot less than we thought.

“We’re working on the script,” confirmed Affleck. “The script is going well, I’m really excited about it.”

Quite how ‘The Batman’ turns out remains to be seen. And we’re sure there’s going to be plenty of rumours and speculation leading up to Ben Affleck’s first solo outing as the iconic Dark Knight.

But we may have to wait a bit longer for some real details.
