Bella Thorne Remembers Bill Paxton, Thanks Him for Being 'a Good TV Dad' on 'Big Love'

Bella Thorne was just a child when she took on the role of Bill Paxton's daughter on HBO's Big Love, but she still has fond memories of the late actor.

After news broke that Paxton had died at 61 due to complications from surgery, the 19-year-old actress took to Twitter and Instagram to express her grief and love for her onscreen father. "Noooooo #BillPaxton f**k💔," she tweeted. "I love you man."

Thorne also posted a photo of Paxton from Big Love on Instagram with a heartfelt message. "Oh my goodness... I don't even know what to say. Thank you Bill for being such a good TV dad to me and spreading love on every set you work on," she wrote. "My thoughts and prayers go out to your family. We love you #billpaxton 💔 #rip."

Thorne wasn't the only one from the Big Love family to pay tribute to Paxton after learning of his death.

Douglas Smith, who played Thorne's brother and Paxton's son, Ben Henrickson, on the show, tweeted a photo of himself and the late actor, writing: "Bill Paxton was a caring mentor, a deep thinker, beautiful artist and a proud husband and father. 'Life is short, art is long.'"

Chloe Sevigny, who portrayed one of Paxton's wives on Big Love, also had a few words to say about her former co-star. "Rest in power my dear friend, a fearless actor, director, artist," she tweeted. "They don't make 'em like they used to, a true original. 💔 #billpaxton"

Tom Hanks joined Ginnifer Goodwin, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Bill Paxton and Chloe Sevigny at the premiere of HBO's Big Love season three premiere at the Cinerama Dome on Jan. 14, 2009 in Los Angeles, California.

Aaron Paul, who had a role on the series as the boyfriend of one of Paxton's daughters, was among the first to pay his respects on Twitter. "Bill Paxton was hands down one of the greatest guys that I have ever met," he wrote. "I feel lucky to have called him my friend. Bill, I love you. RIP."

In addition to the show's actors, Big Love executive producer and Paxton's Apollo 13 co-star, Tom Hanks, also remembered his friend. "Bill Paxton was, simply, a wonderful man," Hanks tweeted. "A wonderful man."
