Bella Thorne ditched dye and extensions to achieve long hair

Bella Thorne stopped using dye and extensions in order to help her natural hair grow.

The Midnight Sun actress, who is a natural blonde but is best known as a redhead, is quite the hair chameleon, always experimenting with different colours, styles, and hair extensions.

However, after she cut her hair short for a movie she filmed last year, Bella struggled to grow it back, so she ditched the bleach, heated styling tools, and extensions so her hair would get long and healthy.

"In August of last year, my hair was cut up to my neck and shoulders for a movie...and it seemed like it wasn't growing back...but now look how long it is!! I just did bleachless, heatless, and most importantly extensionless!!" she wrote in the caption besides an Instagram video which showed her admiring her locks while wet and naked following a shower.

She continued to express pride in her long natural hair, which now reaches the middle of her back, and explained that it took her a long time to feel confident without extensions.

"I have wanted my hair to grow back long again, ever since I was on (TV show) shake it (Shake It Up) they cut it real short one day," Bella shared. "And then put in extensions to match it back to its original length...it took me a very long time to not feel insecure without exts or heat or whatever...but now look at how long it is. I'm so proud (sic)."

The 22-year-old added that the bottom of her hair is currently green because she has had to dye it for an upcoming film role.
