By now, you've probably heard all about Bella Hadid's interview for the cover of Vogue. News has rapidly spread across the internet of all the ways she got real, from admitting she had a nose job aged 14 to feeling like the "uglier sister" compared to Gigi. With all the noise around those big reveals, the juicy nugget she let slip about her current relationship with has passed practically unnoticed – which is pretty fitting for how lowkey it's been from the beginning...

ICYMI, since July 2020 (aka almost two years ago!) Bella has been dating Marc Kalman. Not head the name before? We don't blame you, not only did she manage to keep their romance under wraps for a year (she soft-launched Marc on her IG grid with a blurry and since-deleted pic of them kissing, back in July 2021) he also isn't quite a household name yet. An art director who's worked with the likes of Travis Scott, he's more of a behind-the-scenes kind of guy compared to who she's been linked with in the past: The Weeknd and, supposedly, Drake.

But getting back to the topic at hand, Bella gave some rare insight into her and Marc's connection in her interview with Vogue. Not only did she share their surprisingly relatable activities for New Year's at the start of the year (staying in to eat gyros and watch tv, if you were wondering) she explains that keeping her relationship secret has been its superpower. "I think that’s why things [with Marc] have been able to last,” Bella explained.

Continuing, Bella added that the high profile nature of her other romances, and all the scrutiny that comes with it, has been a hindrance rather than a help. "When you give other people room to have opinions on things that are so personal to you, it poisons it," she added.

Maybe Bella's right, and dating someone who keeps their IG locked away like Fort Knox is the right way to go, we guess that's why people with social media are so appealing in the dating game...
