Bela Padilla: Not posting does not mean not helping!

24 Jan – Bela Padilla recently reminded netizens not to throw judgement towards celebrities who were not seen helping out victims of the Taal Volcano eruption.

As reported on PEP, the actress who spoke about the issue at the press conference of her new movie, "On Vodka, Beers, and Regrets", stated that it is sad that some people would accuse certain celebrities of not helping out without any proof whatsoever.

"If an actor did not post about it, then it means they didn't help? Why are you so negative? We have to change our thinking like, 'Maybe he or she didn't post anything because he or she is in Batangas right now, helping out'," she said.

Padilla said that it is disheartening that people rely on Instagram to see the proof, to see how many bags of rice are donated or how many relief goods are packed.

"We should be grateful to everybody - not just the artistes - who have helped, whose assistance didn't need to be published or broadcast," she added.

Celebrities like Luis Manzano and Alex Gonzaga were among those who were slammed by netizens for supposedly not lending their help to the effort.
