Bela Padilla denies being a "Diehard Duterte Supporter"
15 Jul – Bela Padilla has recently denied the idea that she is secretly a DDS - a Diehard Duterte Supporter.
As reported on Push, the actress was asked just that by a netizen after the latter noticed that her name was in the list of people who joined Joyce Bernal's recent trip to Sagada and Banaue.
It is noted that Bernal was originally scheduled to shoot some scenes at the locations for president Rodrigo Duterte's upcoming State of the Nation Address (SONA).
Responding to the said netizen, Padilla stressed she is not at all supporting the president, and that she was included in the list because she was there to shoot for "Liter of Light", which she did.
"But as soon as I found out that us being there could have any connection with the SONA, I went home alone, immediately, because I have no participation in it anyway," she added.
When asked to confirm again that she is not the supporter of the current administration or will she be involved in the SONA, Padilla wrote, "In the most respectful way to everyone involved, yes."
