Singapore’s annual beer festival will be returning to the country from 17 to 20 August, featuring new beers and activities, such as the multicoloured “Over the Rainbow” beer and Beer Yoga respectively.

According to a media release on Tuesday (15 August), Beerfest Asia announced that this year’s beer trade show will be presented by United Overseas Bank (UOB) and will take place at the Marina Bay Cruise Centre.

The “Over the Rainbow” beer is among the 100 new beers that will be showcased at this year’s event. The drink, which will be presented by beer brand Draft Denmark, is only one of many colourful beers visitors can look out for. Others include the Grapefruit Kleur Beer, Strawberry Kleur Beer and Blue Lagoon Leur Beer.

New food vendors at this year’s Beerfest Asia include Easy Eggs by JAR, which specialises in Mentaiko Quail Eggs, and Platform 1094, which is Singapore’s popular Harry Potter-themed cafe. Other food vendors include Beirut Grill, Kontiki, Shiso and The Golden Duck.

Organisers are also upgrading this year’s Beerfest Asia experience with quirky activities such as Beer Yoga, which incorporates beer-drinking into yoga fitness routines. The session will be led by yoga instructor Dawn Sim from Trium Fitness and will take place at 6pm on 20 August.

Other activities to look out for include beer-incorporated games at The Games Zone, as well as live performances by US tribute band Deadbeat, local acts and DJs. Tickets to this year’s Beerfest Asia are priced from $28 each and are available for purchase here.
