As the months grow warmer there’s nothing like a chilled beer or comforting glass of cider to signify the end of the day.
Yes, we aren’t popping down to our local pub or hanging at our favourite rooftop haunt, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still enjoy a bottle - or can - at home.
Whether it’s a sunny Sunday afternoon or a cosy evening after a long day working from home, there’s no denying that a perfectly-brewed beer enhances our enjoyment.
So, we’ve rounded up six of our favourite beer delivery services that will keep you company during Netflix marathons, weekends in the garden and the evenings in that lie before us.
6 UK Beer And Cider Delivery Services
Beer Hawk | Shop here
Craft beer specialists Beer Hawk offers multipacks, kegs and home brews to enjoy across its site and delivery is free on orders more than £50.
It has an extensive gifting range too, starting from £20, so if you’re missing out on seeing friends for a birthday celebration or a family get together, you can send them a beer bundle in the post and then celebrate over a virtual drink.
There are more than 1,000 different types of beer to shop, from real ales to wheat beers, coming from everywhere from Germany to New Zealand.
Majestic Wines | Shop here
Though Majestic is predominantly a wine service and has a limited selection of beer, the guys here do know what they’re talking about and so the bottles you order will be some of the best around.
From bottles of Brew Dog to lesser-known beers and ciders, the perfectly formed selection has a range of cans and bottles, and comes with full tasting notes.
Home delivery can take up to two weeks at the moment, so if you’re ordering for a special occasion or as a gift it’s worth doing so in advance.
Honest Brew | Shop here
Honest Brew allows for individual beer orders, but we’d recommend signing up to a subscription of six, nine or 12 beers to get the best of new and interesting craft ales.
A 12-box will cost you for £36.90 a month, and there’s plenty of browsing to be had online, where it has categories such as beers under £3, staff picks and the newest releases. It does warn of delivery delays of up to eight days.
Flavourly Craft Beer Club | Shop here
Flavourly Craft Beer Club’s aim is to make the best of craft beer accessible to everyone, without needing to leave your kitchen table or breaking the bank to do so.
With no minimum order to qualify for free delivery, it’s a great option for smaller orders – although there's a hearty selection of beer cases to stock up on – there are delays of up to five days.
All the beers available on site are made to order so they’re as fresh as possible by the time they get to you.
Beer52 | Shop here
