Beauty and the Beast (La Belle La Bete), the live-action French version of the beloved story directed by Christophe Gans, is getting a theatrical release in the U.S. on Sept. 23, 2016. It will bow, courtesy of Shout! Factory in Los Angeles, New York to be followed by openings in additional cities after that.

Beauty And The Beast premiered during the Berlin Film Festival two years ago and sold nearly 2M tickets in France. The film is a production of Eskwad, Pathé, TF1 Films Productions, Studio Babelsberg and 120 Films from a screenplay by Gans and Sandra Vo-Anh. It is produced by Richard Grandpierre and Jérôme Seydoux and executive produced by Frederic Doniguian. Co-producers are Romain Le Grand, Henning Molfenter, Christoph Fisser and Charlie Woebcke.
