Of course, out of all the Disney princesses, Belle has the most reserved jewelry statements. In the original film’s ball gown moment, she only wears earrings and a headband:

But that hasn’t stopped HSN from releasing a kind of ridiculous (in a good way) Beauty and the Beast jewelry collection.

Though the full collection isn’t online yet, Racked shares with us this sublimely giant necklace meant to invoke the Beast’s castle.

This whopper of a statement necklace will set you back $349.99, but like… Sometimes, life hands you a pop culture inspiration and you just have to take it to its extreme. The castle details are pretty amazing. And, though I’m no stone expert, I appreciate the in-your-face quality of this necklace’s design.

I do have a few questions about this necklace though. Namely, doesn’t the color scheme seriously invoke Cinderella rather than Belle? Were blue stones more readily available than yellow ones? And, why settle on the castle iconography rather than, say, the rose that settles Belle’s fate?

But those questions will perhaps become clearer when the full HSN collection drops. That’ll happen online starting March 1, but for the true HSN experience, tune in on March 15. The timing couldn’t be more perfect for getting dressed up before the film comes out on March 17.
