Bea Alonzo wins People of the Year award
18 Jan – Bea Alonzo has recently been named one of the recipients of the "People of the Year" award from PeopleAsia magazine.
As reported on Inquirer, the actress, who won the award that recognises exceptional men and women from various fields, expressed her gratitude online, saying that she is honoured to stand with the other awardees of the night.
She wrote, "I am so privileged that I get to do what I love to do, my art, and get recognised for it. I have my family from ABS-CBN and Star Cinema to thank to for giving me such amazing characters to portray. Thank you Star Magic for paving the way to make me reach my dreams."
Alonzo also expressed hope that she could inspire young women who aspire to become an actress to always have faith in themselves and their talent.
The actress also won Volvo's Most Elegant Lady of the Night at the same event.
