3 Dec– Bea Alonzo has recently been listed as one of this year's awardees of "The Asian Stars: Up Next", which recognises and promote Asian onscreen talents.
As reported on ABS-CBN News, the actress, who was among the six actors selected this year, shared the good news on Instagram, saying, "What a great feeling to be recognised along with the other stars from different Asian countries for their body of work."
She also thanked Variety for the feature, adding, "I am beyond excited to be able to represent the Philippines in Macau this coming December."
The segment is a collaboration between Variety and the International Film Festival & Awards Macao (IFFAM). Aside from Alonzo, this year's honourees include Japanese actor Katayose Ryota, South Korean singer-actress Im Yoon-A, as well as Indonesian star Asmara Abigail.
Other Filipino actors who have been honoured at the event in the past were Piolo Pascual (2017) and Anne Curtis (2018).
