‘Baywatch’ First-Look Photo: We’re Saved!
For those of you who want to set a countdown clock, here’s a reminder: Baywatch opens one year from today. To mark the semi-occasion, Paramount has released the first official cast photo from its movie adaptation on the once-ubiquitous TV series. Striking a seaside pose — ideally while no one is drowning while their backs are turned — are, from left: Jon Bass, Alex Daddario, Zac Efron, Dwayne Johnson, Kelly Rohrbach and Ilfenesh Hadera.
The film’s plot, in case you care, follows devoted lifeguard Mitch Buchannon (Johnson) as he butts heads with a brash new recruit (Efron). Together, they uncover a local criminal plot that threatens the future of the Bay. What — they’re not saving the world? Bah.
Priyanka Chopra and Hannibal Buress also star in the film directed by Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses, Identity Thief). The cast also includes original Baywatch alum Pamela Anderson, Rob Huebel, Belinda, Jack Kesy, Amin Joseph and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.
