The photos come as director Matt Reeves confirmed that Colin Farrell as iconic Batman villain Penguin in the new movie.

Reeves shared a gif of Farrell on his Twitter account, with the caption “Wait - is that you, Oz?” alongside a bat emoji, in a nod to the villain’s full name Oswald Cobblepot.

Zoe Kravitz is set to play Catwoman in the upcoming superhero film, while Andy Serkis will play Batman’s trusted assistant Alfred Pennyworth.

Paul Dano is confirmed to play the Riddler, with Jeffrey Wright set to star as Commissioner Gordon and John Turturro cast as Carmine Falcone.

Peter Sarsgaard is also attached to the film, though Reeves is yet to confirm which character he will play.

Discussing the role of Batman in an interview with Variety, Pattinson confessed that he had had the superhero “in [his] mind for a while,” explaining: “It’s such an absurd thing to say. I sort of had an idea to do it, and I’d been prodding Matt.

“He didn’t accept any prods. I kept asking to meet him.”

He went on to reveal that trying on Batman’s iconic costume felt “transformative,” telling Variety: “You do feel very powerful immediately. And it’s pretty astonishing, something that is incredibly difficult to get into, so the ritual of getting into it is pretty humiliating.

“You’ve got five people trying to shove you into something.”

The film is slated to arrive in cinemas in June 2021.
