Barbie Meets Wonder Woman for Comic-Con — and Check Out that Sweet 'Batman v Superman' Custom Ride
We’ve seen Ant-Man and the new Stormtrooper. Now we have our first look at the Comic-Con International exclusives and previews based on next year’s anticipated smackdown: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
First up, Mattel will be displaying its upcoming take on Wonder Woman — in BvS the Amazon warrior is played by Gal Gadot; on toy shelves next year, she’ll be played by Barbie.
Watch out, Ken. The new doll line, in stores in spring 2016 to coincide with the March 26 release, will also include Batman and Superman.
Meanwhile, Mattel will be selling an exclusive Comic-Con action figure set, based on the film’s trailer, depicting the initial, contentious encounter between the titular heroes.
The toymaker will also offer a new Hot Wheels take on the updated Batmobile, in special Comic-Con packaging.
Speaking of Hot Wheels and Batman v Superman, Mattel will display its life-size “Twin Mill” car to celebrate the movie. The customized vehicle, which mashes up the iconic superhero symbols, will be shrunk down as the flagship car in a toy line inspired by the movie and due in stores for the film’s release next spring.
