Barbie Forteza and Ken Chan reunite in new movie

The "Meant to Be" co-stars play more dramatic roles in "This Time I'll Be Sweeter"

23 Oct - After their chemistry in the television series "Meant to Be", Barbie Forteza and Ken Chan are paired up again for their first movie together, "This Time I'll Be Sweeter".

As reported on Rappler, the two stars, who appeared at the press conference of the said movie recently, shared that unlike the drama, the movie will have a more dramatic storyline.

"We have so many heavy scenes here. We also had to adjust our ages and the way we had to deliver our lines. Director [Joel Lamangan] did help us a lot with that," said Chan.

On the other hand, Forteza admitted that she had to read the script three times to understand the movie's theme.

"In the beginning, I was told that it would be a rom-com. But when I read the script, it was all pretty heavy," she said.

In "This Time I'll Be Sweeter", Forteza plays Erika, who reconnects with close friend Tristan (Chan) through a tragedy, after getting hurt the first time they part ways a few years before.

The movie co-stars Thea Tolentino, Hiro Peralta, Kim Rodruguez, and Akihiro Blanco.
