Barbara Wong is now engaged
20 Nov – Hong Kong director Barbara Wong recently revealed that she and boyfriend of five years, Gus Liem are now engaged.
As reported on Mingpao, the 45-year-old filmmaker, who has been dating her boyfriend for five years, shared the good news on Instagram with a photo from their engagement party and wrote, "Yes, we are engaged."
Prior to the post, Barbara shared the invitation to their 15th anniversary and engagement party on Facebook, which was modelled after an old "Bonnie and Clyde" poster, complete with the tagline, "They're young... they're in love... they live dangerously..."
Speaking to the media about the engagement party recently, she stated that it was not a marriage ceremony, despite her wearing what looked like a bridal gown at the event.
"I know Gus for more than 15 years, and dated for five years. The party itself was actually to celebrate our 15th anniversary. It was three weeks ago that we decided to get engaged," she said.
