Balenciaga is having a case of the Mondays.
Today, the luxury fashion house has unveiled its new Monday shoes – the brand’s latest exploration of archetypal lifestyle footwear.

Named for its everyday versatility, Balenciaga said in a statement that the Monday is a “conceptual take on a vintage running shoe that merges the familiar lines of athletic footwear with a handmade aesthetic.”
As the house’s first all-leather hybrid shoe, the Monday pairs a leather upper with an ultra-lightweight technical rubber sole.
Characterized by a streamlined silhouette, Monday Shoes feature raw edges, visible stitching, and intentional distressing that evoke the worn-in feel of a well-loved favorite.
Plus, deconstructed elements appear throughout, with exposed stitching and detailing that highlight the shoe’s artisanal character. And a rubber 3B Sports Icon signature further amplifies its DIY-inspired design.
This new sneaker is just the latest in Balenciaga’s strategy to create attention-grabbing fashion items including the Circuit, Reptile and 6XL sneakers. Let’s also not forget last month’s release of the outdoor performance footwear-inspired Hike sneaker.
Another recent eye-catching shoe model from the Demna-led fashion house is the five-toed Anatomic Runner, which further delves into the unexpected — although it’s not the first time Balenciaga has released this kind of design.
After formally working with Vibram on Five Fingers-inspired “Toe” footwear in 2020, Balenciaga is returning to the concept for fall 2025, but this time it’s doing it in house. The same fall ’25 collection also teased the barefoot Zero shoe.
Balenciaga’s new Monday Shoes, which retail for $995, are now available for pre-order in white and black, in both worn-out and pristine iterations, at Balenciaga stores worldwide and on balenciaga.com. More colorways – including pink, yellow and blue – will follow soon.
